Well, the Christmas break is almost over, and it is time to hit the books again. I have enjoyed the break, but now is the time to really begin to focus on my studies again. Sometimes this is not as easy as it sounds. I have had more time with the family, and I have been able to take up some of the hobbies that I have missed out on because of law school.

Because I am a weekend student, I must begin my first-week’s assignments now so I will be ready for class next weekend. My best advice to other non-traditional law students who have family and friends that they have become “re-acquainted” with during the break is to prepare your mind for what is ahead – fifteen weeks of reading and studying. Once the first couple of weeks have passed you will be back in the swing of things. Keep focused and stay the course. Each passing term is one step closer to your goal of becoming a lawyer.
