Many non-traditional law students have much more responsibilities than other, traditional law students. It is important to put your law school career into perspective regarding your other obligations while continuing to keep your eye on that final graduation day.
Like many non-traditional law students you may be juggling family, work, and school; no easy task. Of all those things law school is probably the most foreign and perhaps the one that you may feel is “expendable” if things get to hectic. Don’t do it. If you have followed the proper steps in determining whether law school is feasible for you (see this post) then you can do it. Just keep your eye on the final goal of becoming a lawyer one day. Law school is a lot of work and a great time commitment, but it is not that long when you consider the rest of your professional working life.
Hang in there and remember that all things truly worth having require investment. You are investing in your future and in your family’s future. Keep at it.
